Construction methods and attentions of water resistance wall putty

Water-resistant wall putty is the most widely used building material at present. It is high whiteness, fineness and easy construction. After curing, Water-resistant wall putty has excellent water resistance and bonding strength. Water-resistant wall putty is suitable for interior wall concrete surfaces, cement mortar surfaces,basic treatment of cement panel  and gypsum board, it is a non-toxic and tasteless green environmental protection product.

• Construction methods of water resistance wall putty during work:

1. The base layer should be solid, clean, level, without obvious water, and the base layer strength should be greater than wall utty or close to the wall putty strength.

2. The base layer with strong water absorption should be moistened with clean water (not clear water) or be sealed with a diluted cover glue before scraping the putty.

3. The newly plastered cement wall should use putty after the curing period.

4. According to the ratio of powder: water ≈ 1:0.4~0.5 (weight ratio), stir it evenly. After 5-10 minutes, stir it well and then use it (the consistency standard as suitable for construction).

5. Use a steel scraper or spatula to scrape as usal. The first step is level the base surface, and the second step is compacted and smooth it till finish good surface. During construction, the first scraping should not be too thick. If you need to do the thicker layer in some area, you should do multiple scraping (the thickness of the wet film should not be greater than 1mm in a single scraping).

6. The thickness 0.8~1.5mm, and the usage is 1~1.5kg/m2.

• Attention issues of water resistance wall putty during work:

1. The temperature of the construction site should be above 5℃.

2. Wall with serious alkali and walls with obvious water should be processed the alkali and water firstly.

3. When the climate is too dry or the wind is strong, moisturizing measures should be taken (such as close the windows and doors, and regularly spraying water on the ground, etc.) to prevent the putty evaporating too quick to cause cracks and powder fall.

4. This product is alkaline before it is completely dried, and has a certain corrosive effect on metals, wood, etc. Corresponding protective measures should be taken during use.
