hpmc cellulose NL15WMS is a high viscosity product, for cement or gypsum based applications, such as tile adhesives mortar,thermal insulation mortar. It can be soluble in cold water and hot water. It enhances water-retention, besides providing well-balanced properties including open time, slip resistance, adhesion, good impact resistance and shear strength.

Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose plays three roles in the putty powder: thickening, water retention and construction:

1. Thickening: Cellulose can be thickened to suspend and keep the solution uniform and consistent, and anti-sagging

2. Water retention: make the putty powder dry slowly, and assist the gray calcium to react under the action of water.

3. Construction: Cellulose has a lubricating effect, which can make the putty powder have good workability.

In the role of putty powder, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose only plays an auxiliary role and does not participate in any chemical reaction. Adding water to the putty powder on the wall is a chemical reaction. Because of the formation of new substances, the putty powder on the wall is removed from the wall and ground into powder to form a new substance, calcium carbonate. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose just retains water and assists the better reaction of gray calcium, and it does not participate in any reaction.

hpmc cellulose NL15WMS is used in cement-based tile fix and EIFS mortars for improvement of workability,consistency, water retention and adhesion. Normal dosage in mortar is 0.1- 0.5% calculated on the dry mortar weight.

hpmc cellulose NL15WMS is intended for dry mixing with other powder materials and can be directly mixed with water.

Packaging and Storage

hpmc cellulose NL15WMS is packed in multiply paper bags with an inner polyethylene bag or valve bags. Net weight 25 kg. We recommend emptying the bags from the bottom. The empty bags can be recycled or burned. In unopened bags, hpmc cellulose MELLUTEL NL15WMS can be stored for several years. In opened bags, the moisture content ofhpmc cellulose  MELLUTEL NL15WMS will be influenced by the air humidity.
