The sand dryer is composed of three concentric cylinders with different diameters, which are embedded and combined with each other according to a certain mathematical relationship and structural form. According to the principle of thermal power, the sand dryer drum is equipped with lifting plates and guide plates with different angles and spacings. This structure can ensure the materials move along the spiral movement direction under the infuluence of gravity, keep sufficient residence time and the sufficient dispersion in the sand dryer drum, it make sufficient heat exchange between the material in the cylinder and the hot air flow from the combustion chamber, improved the defects of small heat exchange area and low evaporation intensity per unit volume caused by wind tunnels which often appearing in the cross section of old drying equipment . The special three-cylinder structure makes the inner cylinder and the middle cylinder surrounded by the outer cylinder to form a special thermal insulation system. The heat radiated from the surface of the inner and middle cylinders participates in the heat exchange of the materials in the outer cylinder, and the outer cylinder is at the low temperature end of the hot air flow, the heat dissipation area and heat loss of the cylinder are significantly reduced. The energy-saving three-cylinder sand dryer can make full use of waste heat, reduce heat loss, increase heat exchange area, and greatly increase the evaporation intensity per unit volume of the dryer, thereby effectively increasing the heat utilization rate, reducing energy consumption, and making three-pass sand dryer thermal efficiency greatly improved.
The material enters the inner layer of the rotary sand dryer drum from the feeding device to achieve downstream drying. The material is continuously picked up and scattered under the inner layer of the flipping plate to realize heat exchange in a spiral manner. The material moves to the other end of the inner layer and enters the middle layer. During counter-current drying, the material is continuously raised in the middle layer, showing a two-step forward and one-step backward travel mode. The material in the middle layer not only fully absorbs the heat emitted by the inner drum, but also absorbs the heat of the middle drum, and at the same time extends the drying time, the material reaches dry state here, then material travels to the other end of the middle layer and falls into the outer layer. The material travels in the outer drum in a rectangular multi-loop manner. The material that achieves the drying effect quickly travels out of the sand dryer drum under the action of hot air, but the wet material that does not achieve the dry stadus cannot be discharged out of the sand dryer due to its own weight. The material is fully dried in this rectangular flipping board, thus finish complete drying.
