The sand dryer is composed of three concentric cylinders with different diameters, which are embedded and combined with each other according to a certain mathematical relationship and structural form. According to the principle of thermal power, the sand dryer drum is equipped with lifting plates and guide plates with different angles and spacings. This structure can ensure the materials move along the spiral movement direction under the infuluence of gravity, keep sufficient residence time and the sufficient dispersion in the sand dryer drum, it make sufficient heat exchange between the material in the cylinder and the hot air flow from the combustion chamber, improved the defects of small heat exchange area and low evaporation intensity per unit volume caused by wind tunnels which often appearing in the cross section of old drying equipment . The special three-cylinder structure makes the inner cylinder and the middle cylinder surrounded by the outer cylinder to form a special thermal insulation system. The heat radiated from the surface of the inner and middle cylinders participates in the heat exchange of the materials in the outer cylinder, and the outer cylinder is at the low temperature end of the hot air flow, the heat dissipation area and heat loss of the cylinder are significantly reduced. The energy-saving three-cylinder sand dryer can make full use of waste heat, reduce heat loss, increase heat exchange area, and greatly increase the evaporation intensity per unit volume of the dryer, thereby effectively increasing the heat utilization rate, reducing energy consumption, and making three-pass sand dryer thermal efficiency greatly improved.

Working princinle 

The material enters the inner layer of the rotary sand dryer drum from the feeding device to achieve downstream drying. The material is continuously picked up and scattered under the inner layer of the flipping plate to realize heat exchange in a spiral manner. The material moves to the other end of the inner layer and enters the middle layer. During counter-current drying, the material is continuously raised in the middle layer, showing a two-step forward and one-step backward travel mode. The material in the middle layer not only fully absorbs the heat emitted by the inner drum, but also absorbs the heat of the middle drum, and at the same time extends the drying time, the material reaches dry state here, then material travels to the other end of the middle layer and falls into the outer layer. The material travels in the outer drum in a rectangular multi-loop manner. The material that achieves the drying effect quickly travels out of the sand dryer drum under the action of hot air, but the wet material that does not achieve the dry stadus cannot be discharged out of the sand dryer due to its own weight. The material is fully dried in this rectangular flipping board, thus finish complete drying.

Main features and advantages

1. The cost is 20% of the foreign imported products, using the latest anti-wear technology and special materials. The area with high flue gas temperature is made of high-quality boiler steel plate which greatly improves the service life.

2. The initial moisture content of the material is 15%, and the final moisture content is below 0.5-1%. It is the first choice for various drying projects such as cement plant slag powder and dry mortar production lines.

3. Dryer sleeve design, high evaporation intensity per unit volume, high thermal energy utilization; special thermal design concept, eliminates heat loss in wind tunnels, increases heat exchange area and evaporation intensity per unit volume, and the self-insulation thermal efficiency of the cylinder is as high as 70 % or more (the thermal efficiency of the traditional single-cylinder dryer is only 35%) compared with the traditional single-cylinder dryer, the thermal efficiency is increased by more than 35%, and the energy saving effect is excellent. .

4. The fuel can be white coal, bituminous coal, coal gangue, oil, gas and steam. It can dry blocks, pellets and powder materials below 20-40mm. At the same time, it adopts the technology of removing crust. Automatically remove the crust during the drying process to ensure long-term normal operation of the equipment.

5. Compared with the single-cylinder dryer, the floor space is reduced about 60%. Civil construction investment is reduced about 60%, and installation is convenient.

6. The new combined lifting plate changes the movement trajectory of the flue gas and the material, so that the material and the hot flue gas can obtain a better drying effect in each area. And there is no air leakage, which completely solves the difficulty of sealing.

7. The horizontal arrangement avoids the axial movement of the single-cylinder rotary dryer. There is no need for large and small gear transmission, but use supporting wheel transmission.

8. The discharge temperature is less than or equal to 60 degrees, and it can be directly fed into the material silo without entering the cooling shed for cooling.

9. The temperature of the outer cylinder is ≤60 degrees, the temperature of the exhaust gas is less than 120 degrees, and the use time of the dust removal equipment bag is more than 2 times longer.

10. High efficiency and energy saving. Coal consumption is only 1/3 of that of single cylinder dryer. Due to the compact structure and low power, the power consumption is 40% lower and the standard coal consumption per ton is less than 9 kg.
