There are two main types of wear-resistant floor mortars: one is steel slag wear-resistant floor mortar; the other is styrene butadiene latex floor mortar.
Steel slag wear-resistant floor mortar is prepared by mixing steel slag, sand and cement in a certain proportion. A large number of experimental studies have shown that the higher of Fe2O3 content in the steel slag, the better the wear resistance of the prepared mortar under the same steel slag content.
Abrasion resistance tes need a disc abrasion tester. First, the water-cement ratio is 0.44 and the ash-to-cement ratio is 2.5. Standard cement mortar and steel slag cement mortar are prepared with river sand and steel slag as aggregates. Shaped in a cylindrical steel mold, 24h after curing with demoulding water for 26d, then take out the test piece, dry in the air for 2d, then do abrasion test, each group of test pieces are worn for (1800±10)s, other parameters of abrain test are the same to ensure the comparability of the test.
The results show that the steel slag should have a higher Fe2O3 content, and when the particle size range is 2.5~5.0mm, the wear resistance of the floor mortar is much better.
SBR latex floor mortar is made up of portland cement, SBR emulsion, sand and water in a certain proportion. SBR latex is a polymer emulsion with a particle diameter of about 0.13 μm. After being added to cement mortar, it can play a role in bearing lubrication and significantly enhance the fluidity of the mortar. With the progress of cement hydration, styrene-butadiene rubber is formed into a film to cover the surface of cement hydration products and sand, blocking the passage of cement paste and pores in the mortar, and improving the compactness of the mortar. At the same time, the polymer film formed by SBR itself has the effect of fiber tensile stress, which enhances the flexibility and deformability of cement paste and cement concrete. SBR has good wear resistance and can make the mortar wear-resistant.
Mohs strength: non-metallic emery wear-resistant floor material is 7-8, and metal emery wear-resistant floor material agent has a ground hardness of 8.
