  • The working principle of the screw conveyor is that the spiral auger is a spiral space surface, which is formed by a straight line around an axis at the same time rotating motion and linear motion. Therefore, when conveying materials, the screw conveyor uses the linear motion accompanied by the rotation of the fixed screw to push the materials forward. The material moves forward in a spiral line, that is, it is conveyed forward with a tumbling movement in the circumferential direction. Therefore, the speed of the horizontal slow-speed screw conveyor cannot be too high, and the vertical fast screw conveyor must use the high-speed rotation of the screw to form sufficient friction between the material and the trough to overcome the frictional resistance of the blade to the material and the material itself. Gravity ensures that the material is conveyed upwards horizontally.

  1. Reasonably choose the technical parameters of the screw conveyor, such as slow screw conveyor speed can not be too large;

  2. Strictly implement the operating procedures to achieve no-load start and no-load stop; ensure continuous and uniform feeding;

  3. Enlarge the discharge opening or lengthen the end of the trough to solve the problem of poor discharge or discharge speed too slow. At the same time, a section of oposite direction blade can be installed at the end of discharge port to prevent from being blocked;

  4. It is necessary to clean the large size materials or fibrous enter the screw conveyor to prevent blockage;

  5. Minimize the transverse dimension of the intermediate suspension bearing to reduce the possibility of material blocking when the material passes through the intermediate bearing

  6. Add an anti-blocking valve at the discharge end cover. When a blockage occurs, the anti-blocking valve is opened due to the accumulation of materials, and the power is cut off by the switch.
